Tone and presentation

Conservative business dress for most office roles. Arrive 10 minutes early. Greet with a smile and a slight nod; offer a handshake only if the interviewer initiates. Calm, considered answers are valued over rapid-fire confidence.

Questions you will almost certainly be asked

Why the UAE? Why now? What is your notice period? Are you willing to commit for at least 2 years? What are your salary expectations in AED? Prepare specific, honest answers — vague answers signal risk to UAE hiring managers.

What to ask back

Confirm: visa sponsorship, accommodation status, working hours, end-of-service benefits and probation length. These questions show maturity, not greed.

A note from AVENNIO

This guide is general information, not legal advice. For specific cases, consult MOHRE, ICP or a licensed UAE labour consultant. If anyone asks you to pay for a visa or job, report it on the AVENNIO scam tracker.
