Upfront payment requests
Visa fees, training fees, refundable deposits, courier charges for contracts — none of these are charged by legitimate UAE employers. If money flows from you to them before you start, it is a scam.
Generic email and chat-only contact
Genuine recruiters use a corporate domain (name@company.ae or .com). Be suspicious of gmail/outlook addresses, WhatsApp-only contact, or recruiters who refuse video calls.
Pressure and urgency
Real hiring takes weeks. Phrases like 'confirm within 24 hours or lose the offer' are designed to bypass your judgement.
