Employer-provided accommodation
Common in hospitality, construction, healthcare and aviation. Usually a shared room with 2–4 people, basic furniture, transport to work included. Confirm in writing: number of roommates, whether food is included, and distance to your workplace.
Shared apartments
Most affordable independent option, AED 1,800–3,500 per month for a partition or shared room. Areas like Al Nahda, Karama, Bur Dubai and International City are popular starting points.
Studios and one-bedrooms
AED 4,500–8,500 per month depending on area. JVC, Discovery Gardens and Al Barsha offer good value. Expect to pay rent in 1–4 cheques annually plus a 5% security deposit and DEWA setup.
